Where does the name "Bloc-O-Bois" come from? Right from the start, in 1985, our company's strength lay in turnkey solutions. Our team relied on the services of an expert in concrete block foundations (“bloc” in French) and our experts in wood (“bois” in Frenh) carpentry. That's how the name Bloc-O-Bois was born!
The reputation of Entreprises Bloc-O-Bois as a general contractor has been established by professionals (architects, engineers, designers), subcontractors, employees, and customers alike.
Our Speciality
Our specialty is ground-up construction. In other words, we pre-assemble elements on the ground, rather than overhead. The most impressive example is the roof assembly. This method allows us to work more safely, as we eliminate the risk of falling. It also allows us to be more efficient. It's easier and safer for workers to work when they're not exposed to heights.
The worker's insurance, the proximity of materials within easy reach, or the possibility of working with 2 teams at a time if deadlines are very tight: one team on roof construction and the other on floor and wall construction. Once the roof structure is complete and the walls ready to receive the roof, the whole structure is erected using a crane.
Since 1985, Bloc-O-Bois Construction has maintained its reputation for excellence in construction, both residential and commercial, in the greater Mont-Tremblant region.
